LEXINGTON -- William Bonham died at his home in Lexington, aged 66 years.  Thursday morning at 4:30 o'clock after an illness of about two years.  He is survived by his wife, a nephew, Bert Parker, and a niece and twin sister, Mrs. Lewis Dickson, both of Lexington.  The nephew and niece were both reared in Lexington by Mr. & Mrs. Bonham.  Mr. Bonham was born near Lexington and in later years was the stepson of John Stough who formerly conducted a cabinet making shop and was the undertaker of Lexington for a number of years.  After Mr. Stough's death, Mr. Bonham took charge of his business and has since been the undertaker of Lexington for about 35 years and it would be safe to say that not a house within a radius of four or five miles of the village not a home has been missed or not entered by Mr. Bonham in the official duties of Mr. Bonham.  He was one of the oldest and best and most favorably known undertakers of Richland County.

Mr. Bonham was a member of Mansfield Lodge No. 35, F. & A.M., and Madison Lodge No. 26, K. of P. and also of the cemetery board.  He was a member of the Presbyterian Church in Lexington.  The funeral services were held at the home Saturday, December 9th. at 2 o'clock p.m., conducted by the Rev. N.A. Shedd of the Presbyterian Church.  Burial in Lexington Cemetery.
